All through out grade school we are taught to sit still, obey authority, and thoroughly trained into 9-5 work days. We are socialized&#8230; Integrated into a society of already well trained individuals. This is the worst of it, the realization that the educational system is just another ideological state apparatus, a machine meant to pump us out with all the dull requirements of a modern day citizen; morals, values, opinions, and a varying amount of ignorance. The intent is to create the ideal citizen. Ideal, that is, for some. For the higher ups, for those who&#8217;s best interest is in the ignorance of the people, and the apathy. It&#8217;s brilliant really, keeping the population ignorant and apathetic. The majority of people see no problem with state control, they don&#8217;t realize the extent in which we&#8217;ve lost our individuality, and if they did realize they wouldn&#8217;t care, ignorance and apathy. Yet authority has been given out freely, like we don&#8217;t care who controls us, and too much power is given to the authority.</p> <p>Society is the reason you are the way you are, and the reason I am the way I am.
